Husband-and-Wife Team Launches KinForged: A Docu-Series Showcasing Sonoma County’s Artisan Community
Sonoma County, California
Sonoma County, CA – John and Keely Shofner, a husband-and-wife duo with deep roots in motorsport, have launched KinForged, a groundbreaking docu-series that dives into the heart of Sonoma County’s artisan community. Originally conceived as a passion project during the racing off-season, KinForged has rapidly gained momentum, even before its official debut, with makers and craftspeople eager to share their stories through this unique platform.

John, CEO of Corsa Werks and a seasoned docu-series producer, captures artisans in an immersive and visually compelling way, highlighting the intricate processes, techniques, and passion that bring their work to life. Keely, CEO of KCAGENCY, leads photography and interviews, drawing out the inspirations, challenges, and personal journeys behind each craft. Together, they offer an intimate and unprecedented look into the world of makers who are preserving tradition and pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship.
KinForged was initially sparked by the idea of filming a local beekeeper and honey producer but quickly expanded as John and Keely uncovered the depth and diversity of Sonoma County’s artisans. From woodworkers to chocolatiers, ceramicists to metalworkers, the series shines a light on those who dedicate their lives to creating something truly special. The response has been overwhelming, with artisans reaching out to be a part of the series even before its first episode has aired.
“We set out to showcase the artistry behind handmade works, but what we’ve found is something much deeper—an entire community of makers who have opened their doors and their hearts to us,” said Keely Shofner. “It’s been more incredible than we ever imagined.”
John Shofner adds, “We’re telling these stories in a unique way, capturing not just the work, but the passion, the dedication, and the soul that goes into each creation.”
What began as a small, locally focused project is now poised for national and global expansion. The Shofners plan to take KinForged beyond Sonoma County, sharing the stories of artisans from all over the world.
The first season of KinForged is set to launch on March 6, with new episodes releasing every Thursday. For more information, updates, and behind-the-scenes content, visit www.kinforged.com or follow @kinforged on social media.
